  • Blankets

  • Metal Mesh Blankets
For boiler casings, pipe coverings, ducts, refinery vessels and other thermal and industrial uses. Made from precision-preformed felt sandwiched between metal facings. The noncombustible blankets are flexible for easy cutting and forming to curved surfaces and irregular shapes. Widely used for insulating utility boiler breechings, ducts, precipitators, tank and vessel exteriors, cylindrical-surface refinery applications and other industrial equipment where an efficient and economical insulation is desired. Surfaces can be finished with cementitious coatings applied over metal lath facing for a strong, long-lasting finish. Blanket filler without metal facings can also be used for fabrication with other facings.
  • Industrial Wool

  • Bulk Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® Bulk Wool offers a choice of Granulated, Packing and Spray Wool. Non-adsorbent, and corrosion-resistant Bulk Wool applies easily by hand or with fast pneumatic application.
  • Granulated Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® Mineral fibers are formed into small nodules or pellets, air cleaned, and treated with dust-collecting oil. Use for hand-poured applications or mix with other materials as a filler in insulating cements and foundry molds.
  • Dry Granulated Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® Retains oil less than 0.17 by weight. Use as thermal insulation for cryogenic tanks such as liquid oxygen tanks.
  • Packing Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® Similar to Granulated Wool, but designed for hand packing rather than pouring or mixing. Recommended for heat control in boilers, tanks, expansion joints and ovens where the shape of the insulation cavity precludes the use of felt insulation.
  • Spray Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® High quality insulation, lightly treated with mineral oil and produced in pellets for pneumatic spray application (with binders added by the applicator).
  • High-Performance (HP) Wool
For efficient insulation with condensation control, acoustical correction and thermal values Thermafiber® Dark fiber formed in nodules for hot surface temperatures up to 1900ºF. Offers less shrinkage and better thermal conductivity for cements, foundry molds and boards.
  • High Temperature

  • K-FAC 19
K-FAC 19 High-Temperature Board provides high strength and excellent workability. It is composed of mineral fiber and selected mineral additives. Widely used in applications on precipitators, dryers, ducts and breeching, utility boilers, furnaces and kilns.
  • K-FAC SR
K-FAC SR Felt provides high-temperature insulating properties with excellent workability and easy application. Non-load bearing, it is a selected blend of high density mineral fiber with a resin binder. Performs effectively over a wide range of uses, especially when replacing mineral wool block and calcium silicate insulation in high-heat ovens, furnaces, precipitators, fire-door cores and other similar installations. Not for use against direct flame.
  • Maritime

  • US Coast Guard Felts
Available in 4-9 pcf density, ideal for use on ocean-going vessels. Felts are classified noncombustible, have achieved fire-resistance ratings, and meet requirements for insulations impaled on structural bulkheads.
  • Marine Fireproofing
A specially-formulated, resin-bonded, spun mineral fiber felt, 4 pcf density. Ideal for direct application to aluminum ship hulls or as a component in panel systems. Compatible with many types of facings and membranes to comply with naval specifications.
  • #10 Granulated Wool
Mineral fibers are formed into small nodules, air-cleaned and treated with dust-collecting oil. Rated noncombustible per Coast Guard standard 164.009.
