Blanket & Strip
Tuff-Skin®
This semi-rigid fiberglass blanket is the most widely used HVAC equipment insulation. used in residential and commercial air conditioners, furnaces and mixing boxes, Tuf-Skin® provides excellent thermal performance, excellent high and low frequency acoustical performance, and ease of handling and installation. Its high density skin and light density core provide high acoustical values in the intensity and frequency ranges normally encountered in HVAC equipment and appliances.
Tuff-Skin® II
This semi-rigid blanket-type fiber glass insulation offers OEMs a highly cost effective alternate for acoustical and thermal control in air conditioning and heating equipment. Developed to provide a cost effective alternative to Tuf-Skin®, Tuf-Skin® II provides slightly lower thermal performance and equivalent acoustical performance to Tuf-Skin®.
SG Series Spin-Glas®
This efficient thermal and acoustical fiber glass blanket was developed for refrigerators, freezers, and other low to medium temperature appliances. SG Series Spin-Glas® is also used in transportation, water heater insulation kits, commercial appliances, and other OEM applications. It is available in a range of thermal performances from k.32 to k.22.
Range Spin-Glas®
Range Spin-Glas® is a lightweight fiber glass blanket designed to provide thermal insulating efficiency in standard ranges, self-cleaning ranges, and commercial ovens. It emits minimal smoke and odor during initial cleaning cycle in self-cleaning ranges and has application in any household or commercial oven operating at hot face temperatures up to 1000 degrees F.
Valulite™
This economical flexible fiber glass blanket provides thermal and acoustical control for applications such as HVAC equipment, appliances, acoustical panels and partitions, pipe wrap kits, and office furniture. By varying the fiber diameter and product density, Valulite™ 24 has a thermal conductivity (k) value of 0.24, and Valulite™ 25 has a k value of 0.25.
Exact-O-Mat®
Exact-O-Mat® is a flexible, resilient fiber glass blanket faced on one side with a black-coated mat. It is specifically developed as a thermal and acoustical insulation in air conditioning, heating, and ventilating equipment. The smooth mat-faced surface makes this product ideal for applications with high air velocity.
Microlite®
This lightweight fiber glass blanket provides both thermal and acoustical control in a variety of appliance, equipment, and office furniture applications which require high efficiency in a minimal space. Microlite® features high tensile strength, uniform density distribution, excellent dimensional uniformity, and ease of handling.Board
Exact-O-Board®
These rugged fiber glass boards are used in room air conditioning units and other air handling equipment applications where space is limited. Exact-O-Board® provides resistance to relatively high air velocity with effective thermal and acoustical performance in a minimum amount of space. The boards are formed to close thickness tolerances with smooth, uniform surfaces.
Whispertone®
These fiber glass boards provide excellent rigidity and tackability as well as a consistently smooth surface and uniform color. It is available plain or with fiber glass mat facers on one, or both surfaces. The uniform color allows office furniture and panel manufacturers to use light colored fabrics with no show-through.
Spin-Glas® Board
This rigid fiber glass board is used for HVAC equipment, office partitions, foam dams for refrigerators, water heaters, freezers, roof curbs, and miscellaneous OEM applications requiring structural rigidity, high acoustical performance, and excellent thermal control. Spin-Glas® Board is resistant to vibration and easy to handle and fabricate. It is available plain or FSK-faced and other facings can be applied by Approved Schuller Fabricators.
